Impact Unlocked - Davos March Strategy Workshop: From Signal to Investments

I brought a group of senior leaders into a closed room to do something different: translate those signals into capital allocation architecture.

We mapped six converging forces simultaneously:
  • Geopolitics and the Iran conflict are reshaping energy security assumptions
  • AI and electrification are compressing infrastructure investment timelines
  • Space is emerging as a serious energy and compute frontier (Starcloud’s AI satellite — operating on solar power in orbit — is not science fiction, it is a 2026 deployment)
  • Defence spending is accelerating in ways that intersect with—not compete against—transition capital
  • Technology convergence creating investment categories that didn’t exist 24 months ago
  • The structural bottleneck: capital exists, but the architecture to deploy it at scale does not
The question I put to the room: When five macro forces are moving simultaneously, the risk is not missing one of them. The risk is analysing them in isolation.

Boards and investment committees are still largely structured for sequential thinking. The decade ahead demands integrated frameworks.
